Bill, you told me it would've been easier for me to practice with your car. So this confuses me, is it supposed to be easier in my car or yours? Haha.

I'm sure Erik will let us know about April 2nd. No need for assumptions.

if someone puts more blood sweat and tears into their car to make it more set up, then thats their right, it shouldnt have to be made ' equal ' for everyone.

just step up and make your car just as badass!

Yes, the April2 event is "invite only" for non-licensed drivers.

As of yet I have not decided on the invites, but the people who ripped it up will get theirs. The "invite only"ness of the event is purely to keep those who spin out more often than not from crashing into the large immovable walls that line the course. Yameen?

I hear ya mattback. if you take the time, money, and effort to make your car a contender. you shouldnt be penalized if your car to to BAD ASS for the other entries.

also sometimes i mean sometimes too much HP can be a bad thing..In one of the most recent IMPORT TUNER MAG(jan feb mar) there was an interview with the driver of the toyota soarer. he looks up to and coments on UEO(driver of the yukes hachiroku) he said that a lighter car with less hp can turn on a dime... basically he said that the weight of a car can be a blessing or a nightmare depends on your skill in YOUR car..

JUST MY OPINION

But you also have to realize that you guys have access to stuff at prices the rest of us cant find anywhere... For alot of us, blood sweat and tears is = money. I have to pay for labor, I'm not badass enough to do a swap on my own, nor is it worth my time to take away from school and other things to bother to learn how.

Its not like I can "just go out get" another 80 to the wheels for cheap. Just look at the quote you gave me the other day matt! That sorta money dumping is worth it for what I would be getting. But running an event where it becomes a NECESSITY all because someone is wants to run on the big track is wrong.....

I dunno I think its an unfair bias for DG trials to place on an event, it places the victory easilly into the hands of anyone with money.....

Think of how many high powered cars were at the miami event? DGtrials, regina, and a KA-T with no suspension....... SO basically Eric is gonna go out there, create an event that requires power, nobody with power is gonna show up, and hes gonna win his own prizes?

I dunno, 2+2 isnt ='ing 4 right now.. Ive got more to say but I'm gonna leave it till we get some more replies..

Disregard everyone else's replies and look at Erik's reply. Erik never mentioned only inviting people with power, so this disproves your entire reply. Those that are good at drifting and are consistent enough to almost completely eliminate spinning out. Also, Matt has suspension and not power like people with SR's or turbo in general. Just setting your car up with suspension (not including power) makes a huge difference. I personally put blood sweat and tears into my car meaning, I worked hard and do work hard to have the money and I also worked on my car.

That is all.

yes but u realy didnt chang anything by what u said. slash still has a good point. u need power to get around thos big turns. i talked to erik the night he went out and tested the track. he told me he needed more to get around and he is making 248hp. so slash is wrong in saying that erik is going to go win is own event. but i think its going to take the combined of the 2 power and suspenison to get all get way around. im baseing my coments off what i have read on here and what erik as told me. but any ways i hope this topic gets resovled

so it sounds like there is only going to be about a whopping 5 or so competitors.
