i think drifting is a race event...atleast to the WRC guys...they drift alot of them damn turns but still, they take the best line and work on it.

i guess it could also be set up as a timed event...like on a course, thats mandatory that you must drift point a to point b and if not you get 15 seconds or however many added to your final time.

Bottom line Nascar may rule all the morons in this country but F1 rules the rest of the civilized world.

Highest paid "athlete" in the world anyone wanna guess who it is an what kind of car he drives ? Here is a hint its not a damn push rod hunk of junk.

P.S. notcie how Ford droped out of F1 cometition ? Because they broke all the time an never even got an a podium finish.

So, basically ...

Everyone who watches or likes nascar more than f1 is a redneck and if you drive an american car it's a piece of shit and nascar drivers are no skill rednecks.

Your hilarious.

At least in nascar there is actually competition and not the richest team wins and the same guy wins every year.

American companies drop out of f1 racing because there is hardly any interest in it over here. Ever notice how when an American company decides to kick everyone's ass they do? Ever hear of a gt40 or a shelby cobra?

Yeah wow after the GT40 won back to back Le mans who won Le mans 8 years in a row(Porche) ???Ford sold the rights to the GT40 beffore it was winning consistantly to a British company!Dont turn this into a battle of knowlage about racing cause ill win.

The Shelby cars were amazing in there day i have nothing bad to say about them or there maker, they were great an highly advanced in there day.

I never said american cars were crap.I said the technology in nascar was crap and it is,i love Modular fords i think they are great but push rod motors need to join the Dinosaur.

I also never said that people who watch Nascar are rednecks the only red necks are closed minded peopel who think that Nascar is the fastest thing on earth an most popular in the world.

I agree that Ford droped out of F1 due to lack of interest but the wouldnt be a lack of interset if they could put a decent car on the track.Im saying that its impossible for them to do that ethier.

Ohh wow im i soposed to be im pressed ?

Typical F1 engine... less then 2 liters, pneumatic valves, close to 1000hp(more if the limitations were not in place),reving to 18,500 Rpm,for hours on end.

i didnt want to turn this into some kind of import vs domestic battle that isnt my style,i liek ford i have nothing against them i have been toying with the idea of selling my car to buy an 03' cobra,i was just trying to prove a point to Fordmoron(who makes some of the most irrogant statements about imported cars on this site)

ummm 1989 Corvette ZR-1 runs 24 hours straight averaging over 175mph the entire time with fuel stops, and driver changes, bone stock motor and just about everything it would come with if you were to buy it off the showroom floor, setting 12 new motorsport records, including the 5,000mile record...still holds the record to this day

hooorayyy pushrods!
