Neon Headed Shadow
Jeff, that Shadow is a 2.5 T1 with Neon head, wonder how much trouble would that be to swap, i asked him for some info but he's not willing to share his secrets at this time
now the guy Dave with the 2.4 Turbo neon is willing to help me with some of the fabrication to modify the distributor, etc. installing the 2.4 would'nt be too hard but just think how wild the 2.5 would be with Neon head, hey i have plenty of heads to trash if that's what it would take

I don't think its terribly hard to get that head on there. If I had the parts I could probably do it. But I have nothing to compare.

Ok, I'll say this now before any valves get smashed.
The 2.0/2.4 ARE interference engines.
The 2.2/2.5 are NOT.
Just check it before you start spinning things over, actually this combo should be none interference, just something to think about.
Why do I bring this up?? When me and jeff were replacing the head gasket on the neon, both of us just wanted to spin everything without the belt to line it up.

I talked with the guy who had a big part in making Slowe's shadow.. he told me all the "secrets", i just couldnt tell Slowe that I knew them. Anyway, theres a LOT of work to it. He himself even told me it would certinaly be easier to put the 2.4 in the car. The only thing with that, of course, is you have to turbo it
Electronics Electronics Electronics!!!!!!!!!!
This seems to be the confusing part to me. What would you run? Being a cheap ass, I know if it was my project I probably wouldn't want to spend money on a stand alone.

T2 electronics will work fine but T3 would be better
Jeff, the distributor part is easy,Dave has explained me the whole thing no big deal,i can handle the electronics and all but now comes the hard parts as the block needs major mods and i hear the pulleys don't line up but could be spaced out or something also the crank pulley is a tooth short so would have to adapt something there too correct?

Im friends with Dave Bohrer (with the 2.4 Turbo Neon). That car is sweet! He visits me down here periodically and maybe we could all meet up sometime.
Your are right about the electronics........T3 works nicely
