ok i just bought an srt 4 and last night was my first time racing it and i took off at 3000 rshared_pm and it felt nasty, some1 told me it was tire hopping does any one know how to stop it?? can less air on tire help and wat is the best tires to buy for dd and track??

 

A lot of times, wheel hop is caused by worn motor mounts. Does your engine rock back and forth when throttle is applied?

 

yes he is right lol check the rubber inside the mounts... my mounts are torn pretty bad so i bought motor mount inserts for 25 bucks and it has helped alot or u can buy the dog bone top and bottom mount.. both parts can be found on modernperformance for a good price

 

it already has dog bones also saturday morning i went to get new tires and i just was washing my car and found out that one of the front tires is on backwards annd also the tire psi is at 40 psi wpould that have to do with something??

 

If the rotation on the tire is backwards, it means whomever mounted it is an idiot that has no business near an automobile. Is the car an 03' model?

 

You need to have that tire put on in the direction it's supposed to be. You could be driving down the highway and the belts can separate, Then it's bye bye wheel and possible worse, totaled car, injuries, etc. Directional Tires are only meant to rotate in one direction.

Pretty much any shop that specializes in transmission work. Look around for good prices because some shops are ridiculous with Transmissions these days. I just had a friend replace his clutch in his 1999 Mercury Cougar 4Cyl 5 speed, it was a new OEM replacement clutch and he paid almost $900 for the clutch & to have it done installed. Needless to say, that is quite expensive, so look around. lol
