So? The others are still superior devices.

Do you have any gears that grind? Does it "pop out" of third, especially whilst downshifting? A new trans seems rather extreme.

The stock turbo pushed past 18-20PSI is beyond its efficiency range. The factory piece is neat, but entirely too small for the powerplant it supports. As for an HP figure, it's going to depend wholly on all of your other modifications. I would suggest going to SRTForums and searching. Chances are, all of your other questions have already been answered.

if you here a noise only when you press the clutch , you have a throwout bearing problem. Nothing special there.

They actually did it in 6 1/2 hours lol $900 is a LOT for a OEM replacement clutch. Labor costed more than the clutch itself. Don't know much about Cougars myself, but the Engine/Tranny were same setup as the Neon. Looking at the front you have the DOHC engine with Cam gears to the left (or Passenger side) and tranny to the right (or Driver side).

it doesnt matter how long it took to do it . Book time is about 10 hours , thats what you get charged , and the clutch is around 180-200. Average labor is 80 bux . So , he got a good deal for 900 , there is nothing easy about a 99 cougar , I miss quoted labor before , but it's still close to 10 hours

fyi the drivers side is the left ,

Back on topic guys. OP isn't inquiring about a clutch job on a Cougar. Irrelevant.

OP - I really think you should link up with another owner, that way you can get some better insight from someone who is familiar with the platform. Most shops are staffed with idiot kids, and inept owners who's only real concern is turning a buck.
