What is it with these R/T guys that they think they are soo special. Before I got my Dakota it was hell yeah I can get you this and that and we can make it fast. Then they found out I got a SLT. Then the game of you cant do that to a 5.2L. Example 5.2L wont accept 2.02 valves. Umm ok I know it is a Magnum and it is different than my cop car that has a 5.2L with 2.02 valves. And then the part about if it was a Multi Port FI you could do that umm ok I thought it was Multi Port???? Am I insane??? dont answer that I know better. So any ways I wish someone would show them that just because it says R/T and has the all important vin# so what??? 5.2L 5.9L so close still can be built up just as bad a$$ as the other. Okwell I feel better time to go back to Project Evil UnR/T Dakota.

Actually The reason your copcar has 2.02 valves in it is because you have 360 (5.9) heads on that 318 thats the way copcars were built.

You cannot fit 2.02 valves in stock 318 (5.2) heads as they are too big unless you buy different heads for your engine you will have to stick to smaller valves..

Actually I bought R/T heads for my truck but they were saying that the 2.02s wouldnt work because I have a 5.2L which is a smaller bore than a 5.9L. They baisically turned to me and said it isnt an R/T so it wont work. Of course my mad Irish side turned and said Watch me make it work I am determined to prove that my little 5.2L can be just as mean if not meanier than their 5.9L

Theyre just pissed because their R/Ts are slow and get 8 MPG. I almost purchased one till I started looking at the specs. For a stock truck they tend to get rather pathetic times on the track and only 250hp from a 360? Come on now. And most traditional mods dont offer much in HP gains. I will give them one thing they do look nice.

Stock 14.6 1/4 from a 4300 lb truck isnt that bad. Some people that are building them up are getting good gains but they still have that Im God complex. But they all tend to do the Looks first thing and I hate that. Id rather look stock and be bad ass then do the ricer stuff just to add a slap. but that is me. Besides how the hell are the crate engines which are carb engines getting 380 hp? or r the trucks rated at the ground? hmm something to figure out

The crate engines are much more built then a out of the factory 360. BTW my dads Irish in him tells him to get rid of his dogged ass 318 and put in a 360 lol...but his is over 10 years old.

I wish I could stick the crate engine in my truck. Unfortunately I would have to change the cam to get it to run right. Apparently the crate engine doesnt create enuff vacuum to run right.

Yeah thats why they call it a barely streetable engine..

You COULD get some sort of vacuum canister or they have electric vacuum pumps that will create enough vacuum for power brakes etc...
