very true, you can...but in reality...who makes cams big enough to keep the valves open long enough to flow enough air? a 2.4 can run any cam made, up to crane #24s, I dont know about you, but if I am revving an engine to 10 grand, I'll be rebuilding it from the ground up, true, a 2.4 revving to 10 grand wont last as long as a 2.0 revving the same, but then, a 2.0 revving anywhere above 8 wont last long anyway, just as a 2.4 revving over 7 constantly wont either, since neither the 2.0 or 2.4 have a rod/stroke ratio as godly as a bike, why pretend? use a power adder instead and use the relaible part of the powerband of whatever engine you are working on, be it a 1.0L or a 6.0L

you forgot nitrous and superchargers. Any of wich can be added to any motor. And a motor of larger displacemant always will make more power than the motor of smaller displacement. Unless its a HEMI.

in terms of the neon, THERE ARE NO SUPERCHARGERS AVAILABLE for the neon whether it be 2.0 or 2.4. So the only adders available are turbo or nitrous.

lets take weight then, a typical 98 neon and a typical 67 mustang, guess what? they both weigh the EXACT SAME, even though the 67 mustang has a 4.?(289ci, something like 4.8L) liter engine and is rear wheel drive to boot, now lets turbo charge them both at roughly 10psi(both having stock internals) the neon jumps to 240-250HP or so, the mustang jumps up to 320-330HP...what was that about weight? also the mustangs rods dont decided to snap at 270 ft/lb of torque(as I said about all other things being equal, weight included)
