Horrible Timing

Well as many of you know I bought a 93 NA MR2 with the hopes of getting a Gen3 swap. Well this last sat, I let my friend borrow my car to go to tampa since his was out of commission. He was about 3-5 miles from his house when the mr2 finally decided to give up. The engine check light and oil light came on, and it lost power immeadiately. It was towed to my house in tampa, and there it now sits unable to start or crank over at all. My guess..the engine is seized and is now junk. What a great year it has been for me and cars. Bleh

Try rolling the motor by hand to check for siezing. Sounds like an electrical problem to me.

Isn't there a known issue with a part in the dist. That goes out? Replacement part is supposed to fix it. I had that happen with my old teg, don't remember how much, but it wasn't much to get it fixed.
