swmotorsports.com - 335i Alpine White Build Log/Thread
Whats up TR!?
We just picked up a super clean E92 335i Coupe in Alpine White (300). We got her bone stock and are going to be doing a full street build out covering suspension, exterior modification, and of course rear wheel horse power! We will be selecting cost effective options that anyone with an E92 would enjoy. We will also take the time to review each part and comment on issues, settings, and overall consumer type feedback. Most of the items we will have for sale,.. you can email or call us for special Tampa Racing member pricing.
First Round: Wheels and Ride Height
Second Round: Trim

First off the wheel offset is fairly aggressive for a lowered car, but, has no rubbing issues at all. Running a 225 up front would give you a little more forgiveness when flying into a parking lot or hitting any other type of bump at an angle.
Many BMW's have issues with the front being higher than the back causing unwanted wheel gap in the front. This is normally resolved with coilovers as most performance spring companies fail to address this issue perfectly. Our resolution was to combine the H&R Sport springs with Lowering Perches in the front. This gave us the little extra drop in the front and allowed us to use springs all the way around.
For now we are running the OEM Sport Shocks which makes for a decent ride. More firm than stock and removes a considerable amount of body roll in the corners. However, we will be upgrading to Koni Yellow adjustable shocks so that we have a little more control over the ride quality.
