i figured, since i started working on it again, i'd go ahead and post a build thread. i wouldnt expect it to be done super fast, but i'm trying to get it done about a month before ifo 10.10.10... but i do have 2 other projects i'm working on at the same time.
anyway, heres pics from when it was my wifes daily... 7mge (fail)

picked these up hella cheap, they looked good in pics but omg they looked like shit in person

about 8 hours of labor later, these two were the worst of the wheels though


got started on the half cage a few months ago, about to finish it up


bumper i need to finish, 2 hole lip moulded into post89 bumper, not gonna last long getting slid this low

sold my ssr stitch wheels to a friend, not sure which wheel i like better, the mk3 will probly apreciate having a little more tire to use though.

Motor:
i know i said it would never happen, but i'm putting another 7m back in. my vert has a kat, my s13 coupe has a 1jz... gotta do soemthing different.
anyway, got a block fresh off machine shop, good crank, polished the journals up a bit, waiting on bearings to come in from driftmotion. some peened rods, new oem pistons, stock style headgasket, ARP's
working on porting the head for the motor right now, nothing crazy.
gonna drop my na cams in it.
running a treadstone manifold and i' just unsure of turbo. i really wanted to go with a 60-1 ct26, but i'm low on funds and i got offered a 100 dollar hx35. realistically it'll make the same power and last longer, i just like the bone stock look.
anyway, will keep you guys updated.
ahh, also, shimmed the oil pump, and i gotta order 2 fittings, but i'm replacing the uber-restrictive-death-to-all-7m oil crossover line with a stainless line i';m making. will try to get more pics soon

A $100 dollar HX35 prolly needs a rebuild. N/A cams are worthless for making power on, I know you have the idea about the exhaust cam. Get some 264 BC cams, and Manley valve set & Retainers. What oil line is uber restrictive? I have never heard of this oil line, and would like to know.
i have some cams for sale/trade w/e also have dual spring valve springs titanium retainers and 1mm over intake valves

its the actually crossover oil line that runs from the pump to the block, the pump side of it is a banjo fitting, which is horribly restrictive.
the motor is getting a 7m.
as far as needing cams, my last car (3580 lbs) went 12.2@ 114 with a 60-1 ct26, lexus afm and 550's, DDP, 3" exhaust, otherwise no engine mods. cams arent exactly high on my priotity list.
and the hx35 is from a freind of mine, this isnt my first trip around the block on supras, or performance in general
this is my "other" project
