Frame sliders vs race/pro rails
i'm looking to get some slider for my bike but then i saw these B2 pro rails and i some similar ones, i don't want a cage but these rails look rails look like they could help if the bike went down
here are the b2's
B2 Industries Pro Rails - BikeBandit.com
here are some other ones that look like they would help if the bike tipped over or
Racing 905 Race Armor
i can't find who makes these but i like these too, they look more out of they way i don't want my legs hitting the rails.
anyone have any experience riding with rails, do they get in the way. will they protect the bike more then standard frame sliders

A good mushroom type sliders are always the best way. They wont protect your plastics when you go down, they will only help the frame. You want something small that wont get caught up on objects on the street. Because if a puck hooks to something it could make the bike flip and that will do more damage.
Theres a lot of good sliders out there, just make sure to get one that uses delrin plastic vs aluminum crap. Believe it or not but the longer the slider is the more damage it can do to the frame and even motor.

I think race railz

The rails in the pic you posted are called race railz, that is the manufacturer name. I like the idea of the rails over sliders just for the simlpe fact that they give you 10 times more the protection than sliders. Ask Ricksta what he thinks, he has them on his R1.
wow man do you know anything? i could push my bike over right now and my plastics wont have a fuckin scratch with race railz

you want the race railz dood. frame sliders are a waste of money and a garbage. ive ran the north run a gazzillion times and everytime i see someone go down thier sliders did not slide instead they break off and snap like a twig. race railz have the mushroom tip to insure it slides no matter what and since the railz are locked into both motor mounts you dont have to worry about anything braking off. plus when im uncomfortable after long rides i can sit up and put my feet on them while im riding lol.

thats you?
those rails look amazing, can you get the little puck at the end black...
what do you think of the new pilot pures vs pilot powers 2ct
edit: the rails in the pic i provided looks like they are missing the little puck slider end piece.

Pures blow the Power 2ct away. However, if you don't ride agressive (ie corners) then don't even bother spending the extra cash.
