Tip for daily driving a motorcycle: get a scooter. I'm amazed at how useful the underseat storage and space between my legs can be. I use the underseat storage every time I ride to safely store my helmet/gloves. The light weight and CVT make it great for congested local roads and stop-and-go traffic, and you can park it anywhere. (Bike racks @ USF, sidewalk right in front of stores, etc). The upright seating position gives you better visibility.

You just have to accept riding a completely passionless, soul-sucking transportation appliance without the slightest fun factor, cool factor, or pride of ownership.

Or you could put saddlebags on your motorcycle. And not look like an asshole riding a scooter.

suprapimpa, I am guessing you are around 25 years old. What is a 25 year old doing with a sport bike as his only means of transportation? This is part of growing up. There is no correct way to daily ride a bike. In the US, motorcycles as a primary means of transportation are for broke dick mofos, and honda drivers.

I've considered moving to Gainesville so I blend in with the crowd and don't look like such a douche, but I would stand out there too since I'd be the only one wearing a helmet or safety gear of any kind. Lose-lose.
