+1 on him being a mod..wtf...

faur has some great advice

i also, as they will tell you in class and emphasize myself, always pick a side of the lane to stay in that way if a car starts to come over i am able to get out of the lane or if breaking looks like it will lead to me being rear-ended
always look ahead and at people who are turning from somewhere

just use common sense

On this note, always carry a spare helmet if you think you'll be picking up a fair maiden. I may not wear my helmet 100% of the time anymore (short trips during horribly hot weather, I've been known to squid it without a helmet), but I don't let a passenger on my bike without a brain bucket.

Fauropitotto always good advice I'm thinking about getting that sportbike saddlebag you showed me i have a short pipe so it wont get burnt, that co2 inflator is ingenious i need to pick one of those up asap

Lol brain bucket ive never heard that one before

I thought of some other ones
-When you leave your bike for class/work lock your helmet with the top facing up and close all the vents and visor tightly so it doesn't get rain in it ... i had soggy helmet once it blew and took forever to dry back out

-Learn how to flip your bike around on the kickstand, I got stuck a couple times where people at usf/hcc parked so many bikes at angles behind me I could barely back out but i flipped it around and was able to steer out easier (sportbikes only)

-If you don't have a waterproof backpack and its raining you can use trash bags, shopping bags, etc to wrap your laptop in so it wont get wet

-If you have to leave your backpack use the helmet lock and put it through the zipper puller holes and leave it hanging on top the seat, it might not be the most effective but some people will try to steal your shit, see it wont unzip and give up

-If your staying at someone's apartment for the night take your lock with you and lock it around the rear pegs or subframe to transport it or around your neck if you feel like carrying that much weight and then lock your bike to their car or something like a carport/staircase, I don't do this all the time but some apartment complexes I can barely sleep unless I do it

+1 on the helmet, but hahaha, you've never ridden a cruiser if you're talking about flipping bikes on kickstands. You're pretty much fucked with one of these pigs if you get caught where you can't back out due to a hill or obstructions or something and can't go forward.

Haha yeah I can't imagine how that would work I know its pretty hard with just the weight of my 750cc sportbike I can't imagine a 1000cc+ cruiser would be an easy task I'll mark that one sportbikes only

Zip lock bags, a good backpack, and a change of clothes will handle just about any daily driver situation on a motorcycle. I figure if I cannot figure out how to pull it off with those items, I probably should just take the truck instead, but there are very few times I feel I actually NEED the truck over the bike.

the way it works for me...i move other peoples bikes (at the usf sundome), ive only had to do it a few times but i treat their bike as if it was my own..and worst case scenario i figure if they come out they'd understand...so w/e lol..but kickstand turns are really easy on sportbikes once you get the hang of it

My bike doesn't easily spin around with the kickstand spin. I can't get it right. I'm not really sweating it, though.
