Update on my friend:

It looks good for his vision in his left eye, doctor gave him some steroid drops to put in over the next few days and is hopeful that he'll be cured afterwards.

its not cut rate. its just straight up cheaper there. fuckin everybody gets lasik over there so the doctors have a shit ton of experience...most of the people wearing glasses got lasik and just wear em for show lol.

I've heard that Taiwan's healthcare is actually quite good. Similar to Australia (being that most of it is free to citizens), but their hospitals are great from what I've heard

glad his eye problems are not serious.
but it sounded like someone CAME on his eye though.

it was more a joke.. yeah i know they are much better at just about everything than we are. insurance CO and lawyers suing the shit out of everything has fucked our how medical system up.



or was it the other way around, either way. we damn sure don't get the level of care they want you to believe we get.

yep... the crazy cost and the amount of times they fuck up are why we are a sue happy nation.


you wouldn't see slip and falls settle for million dallors if 100k of that wasn't wasted in doc's, which needing to be paid leads to lawyers and their 200k. which leads to insurance getting repayed at a higher rate than they should and it goes on and on.
