They use titanium since it is the only metal that will fuse with human bone. And for weight reduction obviously.

good luck.
Thanks. Actually after EMS got there 2 patrol cars came ... they just took down our names and license #'s and walked away. Didn't tell us to leave, or not to come back.

As far as trespassing, there isn't any gates/fences. And not even 1 posted No Trespassing sign. I *think* any tickets they give out could be easily dismissed in court ... but I am going to check and see if they start patrolling back there or not.

For a long time I scratched my head and spent hours trying to get shit to look good on YouTube, but a few months ago they happened to make it easier. I'm using a Nikon Coolpix S5, just a regular Point & Shoot digital camera that films up to 640x480 .mov video.

What I do to get the High Quality feature is make sure to record in the highest setting on my camera (640x480, and the highest frame rate, there's only 2 options on my cam).

Then for editing I open the clips in QuickTime Pro (you have to have Pro in order to export to different file types). File > Export - Movie to AVI (Options menu looks like the pic below):

Then I import the .avi files into Windows Movie Maker, I know it sucks but easy to use and hey it works fine for me. When I'm done editing, File > Save Movie File ... then next until quality settings, and I do as it shows below:

So in the end I'm left with a .wmv file, the filesize is really low actually. This particular video I just uploaded is only 25.2 MB and 2:41 long. The original .mov file I took off my camera this morning was 136 MB alone, then I added several pictures to the final video and the song.

Anyhow, after uploading to YouTube, they process it and it becomes available ... but not until like 30 minutes or sometimes an hour later (depends on video length) does the High Quality come available. I can only get it to work when I film in 640x480 and keep the resolution that way with the final edit. Anything smaller won't end up HQ. You can now also upload up to 1 GB per video to YouTube.

------

Just a side note, If I don't need to edit the video, I have uploaded the .mov file straight off the camera (still 640x480) and it works as well. It's a much larger file size obviously, so it takes a bit longer.

damn, i wish i had quick time pro now.

i'm so bad with this video shit, but that has bugged me for a while. last year i got a cool video of a rally ish car crashing and the video looked great. untill i uploaded it to youtube and its good grainy and shit.

so it need to be converted to a .avi, then into a .wmv and it will turn out better. good to know. i my research how to do that.

i think my point and shoot takes a more wide screen than 640x480 thou

If it's bigger/wider than 640x480 then that's even better. And just a reminder, the video doesn't HAVE to be converted out of .mov.

It's not the file type that's getting HQ on YouTube, it's the size (640x480 +).

The only reason that I had to convert is because I don't know how to use Adobe Premiere, and for the simple editing I'm doing I'd rather not learn it. In order to use Windows Movie Maker the files have to be .avi or .wmv, so I figured to be safe and not loose quality I'd convert from .mov > .avi since AVI is supposed to be the best quality I believe .... then in the end, when I'm down editing, Windows Movie Maker outputs into a .wmv file, which works fine on YouTube as long as you keep the size of the video big like I said (640x480+)

Back on topic, my friend is having an issue with his sight in his left eye. I'll know more tomorrow, he's going to an eye specialist.
