My upgrade (bike #3)
Yesterday I traded my 07 Ninja 650r in for a 07 Yamaha R6s (basically an 04' R6 from what I understand). Its had only one previous owner (a woman) who only put 850 miles on it. Looks in good shape, and is completely stock. I still got several months of the warranty left as well, and with moderate insurance coverages it's cheaper than the 650r was costing me.
After a full day of a group ride (200+ miles) I can say it's what i expected it to be, after using the 05 R6 Raven for several hundred miles in the past, I knew pretty much what to expect. I felt comfortable on that bike so I figured my first "supersport" should be one.
Future immediate modifications include:
- hotbodies racing undertail (to eliminate the rear fender in all it's glory)
- flush mountish front signals
- DB windshield
- yoshi slip on (maybe full system)
- PC 3
- and maybe some day an 05 R6 front end (inverted forks with hi/low speed independent adjustment and radial mounted brakes)
hoping to do 30k~ miles before next bike upgrade

oh I don't know, I was just meaning that big plain can needs to go lol.
you will have to research if the hp vrs $ is worth it to you for a full system over just the slip on.
