Nice... I'd def opt for a slip-on... If you go with a full system might as well get it dyno tuned to get the extra bit of power. If that puts you over what you want to spend, then do the slip on... its not going to get much faster with a full system.

not bad at all, however that's for the newer chassis R6, not sure if it bolts up to the 04-05 R6 and the 06-09 R6S

i'll probably end up doing a slip on dude, my GF's R6 sounds great (videos on my youtube account).

but yea, a big reason i'm probably not going to move back to Tampa or transfer to USF is cause I don't want to ride day to day in Tampa area, like i do down here

Yea i was thinking that, i think i'll do a slip on and eventually PC3 with downloaded map. My gf's bike sounds perfect with just a vance & hines SS2-R slip on w/o baffle. The extra cost for the full systems is more than a slip-on + PC3 in most cases.

the bike is plenty fast for my immediate needs anyhow

I did the slip-on and PC3 on my bike a while back... it was a disappointment to say the least.

I would of rather spent the $250 on a 520 conversion instead. Gains in saving unsprung weight are much greater than full systems...

Specially those $2k full systems... buy wheels instead of those things... Wheels make a huge improvement in Handling.

oh F 2k on a full system, I wouldn't benefit nearly enough from the cost. I was considering initially the full yoshi system which is $750~ .. i will most likely just get a slip on though

What exactly is the 520 conversion, something to do with chain? I've seen it before on numerous forums

Lighter chain, narrower pitch. Less rotating mass + less sprung weight + bling factor. And since you have to replace your front and rear sprockets anyways, you can change your final drive ratio as well (which is what most people notice).

slip-on. get it just for the sound. trying to get more power out of your bike is like said a waste of money. spend it on things to improve handling. thats key the bike is already plenty fast.

agreed and this is what i'm planning on doing (eventually), in the meantime i'll get as comfy as possible with the bike's handling as it is in stock form after getting the suspension fine tuned.
