It doesnt matter WHO or WHAT it is targeting. The way the law is worded is the way it will be enforced by a cop having a bad day. We ALL have bad days, yours will be when it costs you a grand cause a screw came loose on your tag mount and your tag started dangling vertical.

Thats when you start to piss me off. Where the hell do you come off thinking you have the right to do this?

I'm sorry that you can't enjoy just straddling your machine and cruising on it as well as laying on it and pushing your limits; theres more to riding than acting like you're some kind of Motocross racer. If I had to guess, I'd say you're a young guy, though. So, if you don't kill or maim yourself and stick with it, one day you'll really get what the spirit of riding is all about.

BTW, I agree with the general train of thought here. By the time its a third offense you need to be hit with hella stiff penalties for being a lawbreaking douchebag. But these laws for the first and even second offenses are complete nonsense.

You are just a pansy...

You know what pisses ME off? Where the hell do you come off thinking you have the right to ride your bike DRUNK (don't lie bitch)

Maybe some of us ARE motocross racers douche nozzle. Ever think of that? Either way though, that has NO effect on how we ride on the STREET.

man, the ONLY thing Mr. Schmoe is worrying about is how he has to pressure wash the tractor of you blood after you smear yourself into it. 400lb sport bike vs 10,000 pound tractor = no chance in hell. Honestly, I dont think broadsiding a tractor at 80mph would do ANYTHING to it.

I haven't gotten smashed and ridden my bike since I took a Xanex and downed a bunch of beer and dropped the Virago at a stoplight, ejecting myself and the passenger and snapping my clutch lever off. That was my stupid mistake, it happened a couple months after I started riding, and it was all the wakeup call I needed.

Just about all of the people in this forum aren't motocross racers. Most of the people in this forum also don't track their bikes regularly. And you're right, that has no effect on how you ride on the street. What DOES have an effect on how you ride on the street is the rider being a jackass or not being a jackass.

Unless your fairing snaps off in the impact, flies into the cab of the tractor, and decapitates Joe Schmore. Or your bike hits it at an angle, flies up, and turns into a 400 lb cannonball which turns Joe Schmoe into the same skidmark as the rider is.

Lets be clear here, are you actually justifying riding like a fucktard on public roads, or are you just taking a break from aliens and prisonplanet to bitch about bikes?

Oh yeah!?! By swerving into oncoming traffic or by low siding and sliding into oncoming traffic? I guess maybe you only ride hard on left handed corners, in which case you can substitute oncoming traffic for a barb wire fence, or a tree, or name your favorite way to die.

You do realize how little margin of error you have if you are draggin' your knee on the roads up North right? There is no run off, no shoulder, nothing but a double yellow or a ditch. It doesn't matter how good a rider you think you are... laws of physics still apply and guess what, you're not superman.
