^ agreed.

Its funny to see these laws pass. They were clearly written by gentlement who have never ridden on two wheels before.

It's like a person who drives a car passing laws limiting what stunt airplane pilots can do in the air dispite never having flown before.

If I remember correctly, the speeding law was originally meant for just sportbikes. Motorcyclists lobbied against the law, saying it was biased and so they included all vehicles in it. Law makers are definitely out to get us. None of these laws fit the crime and they know that.

trust me im most likely one of the more experienced riders on this site compared to what im hearing others say. My bike was my main mode of transportation from the age of 17 till i was 26, im sure i have well over 100k miles on a bike and still see nothing wrong with the laws.

orly?!? And do you HONESTLY believe not having your license plate tag properly mounted should result in a 5,000 dollar fine, AND a THIRD DEGREE FELONY.

...I can't wait for this answer...

yeah that happens for the 3rd offense... if you dont learn after the 1st one or the second one .... you deserve to have a felony.

Yea. I can understand that if you get two chances and you don't learn, then your third offense should be outrageous.

...BUT, if you are unsure of the laws regarding license plate mounting (like myself), then you should not be hit with an unknowing, preposterous penalty. My plate is 90* perpendicular to the road, is clearly visible at all times, and is always up to date with registration. If there was an asshole cop (not like there are any of those), he could probably find a way to fine me $1,000.00! That's just stupid. I do NOT deserve that, and I am the kind of person that would get fucked by this law. Raul and Brandon can attest to this bullshit tag stuff. If a plate is unreadable, then you get a reasonable fine. Sure. That's dandy with me.

Now, Seeing as how there are 3 laws that are WAY over priced for the first offenses, there is little to no reason for me to stop for an officer if the circumstances are correct. I'm not willing to hope/pray when I get pulled over, that I have a nice officer to just serve me the justice that I deserve. No, there is a great chance that IF I get pulled over for a valid reason, then I will probably end up with a list of fines and other miscellaneous crap that the officer decides to extend my way.

I highly disagree with these laws, judicial system, and this "democracy". Fuck.

And tits.

+ 1 can easily get away after turning a couple corners, any cop who chases a speeding bike is an idiot.
