Correction on the pipe thing.
You can put on ANY aftermarket exhaust, however, by law, it cannot be louder (db) than the stock pipe.
Oh, and BS on the 30+ over impound comment. I've had 30 over, and all i had was a court date. Dennis Lopez got me out of points and a huge fine.
Good luck buddy. You're lucky they didnt take your bike away on the spot.

stock pipe what are those?? plus i have no idea where mine is at
and its as quiet as a stock pipe as long as i don't go above a certian rpm
so how much did these lawyers cost and i wanna know how they get yall outta these points

^they do their magic and most are $200... also if you bought the bike used just say that the bike came with that exhaust then i dont believe they can do anything.

i dont think thats true because i got pulled over 4/20/2007 for doing 76 in a 45 and i got off with a violation of traffic control device... and that was 31 mph over. plus i got pulled over in december of 05 doing 83 in a 50 and got a ticket for $302.50, no jail time, no felony, and kept the cars... both times

ok theres alot of confusion.
30 over the speedlimit on a BIKE and its UP TO THE OFFICER to have your BIKE impounded ON THE SPOT and you be ARRESTED.
edit: Its why its usually not worth it to be a dick to the cop if youre caught doing 30+ over since if hes got some spare time he can deff. fuck up your day.
