damnit man. well if she was driving w/o insurnace then she couldnt of had a tag. find out if she owns a house. or if she owns anything for that matter and then sue her for it. shit if that dont work sue her family members lol. im really sorry to hear about all this. if it makes you feel any better if i was there i would have beat the shit out of her for you to make you feel better

 

You cant put a lien on anything she owns unless it was criminal IE she was drunk.. If she was drunk then you could try to put a lien on anything she has, even her paychecks. Otherwise you are screwed, and as far as insurance. If her insurance lapsed (ran out) its possible she could still have a tag. It takes months for the state to realize someone lost their insurance before they take the tag.

 

Def check with a lawyer... in the very least make sure you put liens on whatever you can that she owns.
