^^ cosign.I love how people argue About the woman at the stop sign.I have been to court and won 2 cases over people pulling out of a stop sign on me.Both times people argued I was speeding. Both cases the judge looked at them and said if you were paying attention to the cross traffic and noticed he was speeding you shouldn't have pulled out.I won my cases just for the fact that the other person had a stop sign.

I know the experts here will now make more bs excuses lol

This is even off the HD page.

WEIGHT

GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING 1200 lbs.
your wrong.
dry weight is around 870 on a fully dressed bagger.
i used to work at harley tho police bikes definatly weighed less than any fully dressed bagger there. they have smaller bags on the side and the black box only has a few small electronics in it. all the lights and wiring maybe 25 lbs. i worked at harley for over 7 months. they are all peices of shit. they break down so ez and are a fortune to fix.

she had enough time to go in front of the taping car.
the bike most likly pulled out from behind it and was easily doing double the limit. she is at fault, but under only bullshit cercumstances.

Next time you see a rider down thread, and you see the quote from the tampa bay times or whatever other press covers motorcycle accidents. The top thing you'll see the car driver say after he just killed someone on a motorcycle is... "He came out of nowhere" Grats on depth perception, being patient and having some respect for people out on the road, especially motorcycles which in most cases are 1 hit KOs.

Obviously this poor innocent SUV driver should be given a medal for breaking the law and fucking up a guy doing his job.
Yes, it is the cop's fault for risking innocent lives trying to do a job he could not possibly safely perform. Common sense still applies and public safety must always come first, even for (especially for) on duty cops... If the cop passed the funeral procession at a reasonable speed, like I am sure he is trained to do, the worst thing that would have happened was an SUV would have gone between two cars in a funeral procession. Instead, he made the decision to perform his job in a wreckless manner putting others at risk and we see the results.

I agree most drivers that hit motorcyclists don't see them coming. In some cases (most?) it is the driver's fault for not paying attention, sometimes it is the motorcyclist's fault for speeding, flying out from behind a blind spot, etc. In this instance it is hard to say because we cannot see the SUV driver's perspective. Maybe it was obvious that it was a funeral procession and the SUV driver was an impatient dick, maybe they just pulled up to the stop sign and thought it was clear to go. Again you cannot tell from the video.

Think of it this way... What if instead of it being a cop it was a squid on a sport bike that pulled out from behind the camera car at a rediculous rate of speed and T-Boned the SUV? Would you still say it was the SUV's fault? Just curious if you think it was the SUV's fault because they didn't see the motorcycle or because it was a funeral procession.

For those who don't understand the laws.If you are at a stop sign and you are at an intersection that cross trafic doesn't have a stop sign. Then cross traffic has the right away.So if you leave that stop sign and there is an accident then you are at fault.

I am not cop friendly, but if that wasn't a cop you would be yelling fug that suv who ran the STOP SIGN
the suv didn't hit the rest of the traffic just the speeding motorcycle, and its more like got hit by the motorcycle

Where I'm from, a cop leads a funeral procession at about 15 mph, all cars have their lights on (most cars have automatic daytime lamps anyway), and two or three more cops leap frog from the back of the pack to the front and stop side traffic and clear intersections so the pack doesn't have to stop. The motor officer was following standard practice for side traffic control. This was an "accident." The SUV driver pulled up to that stop sign, looked both ways, saw a gap in traffic large enough to cross through and went. It might not have dawned upon the driver that it was a funeral procession if they arrived in the middle of the procession and missed seeing the lead cop. The video taping car might have been the last car in the procession, which would make sense for it to be taping the procession. The cop was probably stopping traffic at the prior intersection when the video car went by. Then, he gassed it to catch up to the front at the same time the other driver gassed it to cut through traffic and--Wham-O!
Of course one motor officer can't clear all intersections, so he picks and chooses. The driver of the SUV can't really be blamed if his view of the officer was obstructed by the video car and there was no other way to tell that it was part of a funeral procession.

This is too simple to argue. Everyone is in the wrong. The cop was going too fast and shouldn't of been passing like that, the person in front of the lady taping was going to fast. And the SUV Definately shouldn't of went through that stop sign. Everyone fucked up.
