just get a little holster and strap it to the handlebars. then if some dumb bitch pulls out in front of u all u have to do is reach over grab the gun and put 2 through her windshield and that'll teach her not to pull out in front of bikers ever again

Also, finding a place that is easy to access is hard. Picture this. You are all geared up, jacket zipped up, gloves on and you need the gun quick! First you have to take the gloves off (throw gloves at bad guy?), then you have to unzip the jacket, *then* you can try to whip it out....all while sitting on the bike, either in motion or parked?

If you keep it in the tank bag, you can never ever leave that tankbag alone. Can never keep it on the bike while you go into the store for a quick break, can never leave it on the table anywhere it might get stolen. You might as well be a secret service messenger man handcuffed to his breifcase. Or you have to somehow transfer it from the tankbag to a holster with no one noticing.

I think 99.99% of the time, just twisting the throttle is a better solution. But there is always the 00.01% No easy answers.

i 100% agree with you to an extent, you have awesome reasoning, but those of us who use bikes as daily transportation, you want your firearm with you when you get to your destination for the day.

BTW: psst, invest in a good ankle holster

I've given it quite a bit of thought off and on over the past few years

I know what you mean. I use my bikes as my primary transport as well. Of course, transporting the firearm someplace is totally different than trying to keep it as a viable option while actually on the bike.

Ankle holster is a great idea for some. Don't think it will work with my Sidi Vertigo Corsa boots though Maybe a teeny tiny one shot, hehe.

In some ways, carrying concealed limits your options. Everything you do, and everywhere you go, every action and reaction you have, has to take the fact that you have a gun on ya into account.

Like I said before, no easy answers.

Maybe get some gloves that are thin enough to be practical. These are kinda like mine. I love them...

eBay Motors: Icon Tarmac V 2.0 Glove Black Medium (0189) (item 220101763932 end time Apr-18-07 15:52:38 PDT)

and maybe a chest-mount holster? I doubt that a chest holster would effect your body in a fall. Then, all you have to do is un-zip, and then pull.

oh yeah, this is a great example of a concealed weapon, i mean you could easily hide this inside your jacket or better yet you could get an ankle holster for it

not to mention the pain in your side if you take a dive while riding your bike.
