One thing to keep in mind. What happens if you crash? Many of the standard places for CCW would be bad in a crash. Don't want anything like that in the small of my back or near my ribs if I go down. Ouch.

Also, finding a place that is easy to access is hard. Picture this. You are all geared up, jacket zipped up, gloves on and you need the gun quick! First you have to take the gloves off (throw gloves at bad guy?), then you have to unzip the jacket, *then* you can try to whip it out....all while sitting on the bike, either in motion or parked?

If you keep it in the tank bag, you can never ever leave that tankbag alone. Can never keep it on the bike while you go into the store for a quick break, can never leave it on the table anywhere it might get stolen. You might as well be a secret service messenger man handcuffed to his breifcase. Or you have to somehow transfer it from the tankbag to a holster with no one noticing.

I think 99.99% of the time, just twisting the throttle is a better solution. But there is always the 00.01% No easy answers.

+1

they even tell you when you are taking the class to get your permit NOT to tell anyone that you carry, much less where you carry or what you are carrying. The scenario they gave in class was:

Say you told a friend what you have and where you carry. One day you two get into an argument over something and things start going south quick. Even if you leave the scene and do nothing wrong your former friend can call the police and say you threatened them with a gun. Your now former friend describes your gun to a tee and where you put it. When the cop confronts you and you pull the gun they described from the place they said it would be who do you think the cop is going to believe? Guess where you get to go now. Jail.

On a side note this is all speculation and what I've heard from "others". I may or may not carry myself

I understand your concern but how many people do you know on here that can actully put your face with your name. Plus this is strickly hypothetical. I was just saying that if i was in that position to carry where would I. Maybe I need to change that on the main message.

Also maybe I should of changed something instead of carrying it for use on the bike, how about more for transpertation to a location where it may need to be used. But once off the bike it would need to be accessable if a given situation occures.
