It is a felony.. But its classified under Exhibition of Speed.. If anyone has any questions on it , im open for the answers.. I got nailed at Frontage doing a 2nd gear stand up.. Was out there with matt and a few others from here... 1,000 fine , Lost my license , and had to get my lawyer involved to get me out of jail time , which could have been up to 6 months in jail...Who ever told you that , even though lacking explanation , was correct , you can lose your bike and go to jail for even the smallest wheelie.

 

alright...guess ill be getting an SV again....only way to wheelie that bitch is to take it over some sweet jumps

 

weird if it is cause the guys i was ridin with got a wreckless drivin ticket and the cop was an ass.Don't know why the cop didn't charge him with that

 

you must of had a ton of other violations to lose your license and a 1000 dollar fine dood. and if not...well we all know where this is going

Atleast that's what it cost me after a lawyer and the fine. =)

Nah , I had priors on my record but from years back... The problem was in my situation , 14 bikes at frontage , everyone got away except me cause i got ran off the road into the bushes .. I didnt even have a chance to run.. But they origionally sited me for wreckless driving , fleeing and eluding , and wreckless endangerment or something along those lines... My lawyer got the 2nd 2 dropped , and the judge decided to change it to exhibition of speed on my first hearing.. My second appearence in court , my lawyer got it back to a wreckless driving with license reinstatement...

Possible penalties of
no less then 500 but no more then 1000$ fine
potential loss of driving privelages for up to a year/hardship based upon court approval
Up to 6 months imprisonment.
So needless to say , it coems down to the cop and the judge ..
I got off with my 500$ court cost and my 500 in lawyers fees...
I got lucky... my friend spent 4 days in jail for the same thing... Wheeling on bayside tho.

Great that just means more felons around here. This board is going to turn into a haven for felons... LOL
