I'm close to 4k on my 1st set of pilot powers... They maybe have a couple of N-Runs left in them.

8k on a set of tires is amazing. But if you rode it more on the N-runs you'll likely get less milage out of those tires.

My stock dunlops only got 4k, but my diablos have 12k and counting with good tread still, and they have many burnouts and agressive riding on them....

12,000 miles come on give me a break.....a 1000cc machine will eat a tire in 4,000 miles worth of north runs....how do I know??? because most of my miles are North runs....and no I don't do jackass burnouts either

Lol seriously.

Also I'm not surprised the Diablo has lasted you 12k miles. My buddy had a pair that lasted him around that long also.

My personal favorite tire so far is, by far, the Pilot Power. I managed to 6k miles out of mine.

Now 6,000 miles on a Pilot Power on a 600cc machine makes total sense, but more than 6,000miles on a liter bike'e tire means you just are not pushing that hard

Does it matter that he's not pushing that hard?

Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?

I think the point that we can all take away from this thread is that riding style has a lot more to do with tire life than tire brand. My Pilot Powers show no appreciable wear from the street riding I do (occasional North Run, occasional interstate ride to work, goofing off on the back wheel), but three and a half track days at Jennings leaves the rear too bald to continue using.

That makes it difficult to answer questions about how long a given tire can be expected to last.

Do you just troll around waiting for something to say....I never said you have to ride hard...all I said is that I was surprised to see someone get 8,000 miles out of a rear on a liter bike and that he must be taking it easy on the throttle to get that kind of tire life......don't be a jackass
