Anyone that says he shouldnt have tried to stop A BIKE that way, only a car is ignorant. Get a life.. stop trying to defend stupid shit being done. You run on a bike, your now endangering me (as a normal private citizen going to the movies with my family) so you dont get a speeding ticket. Well fuck him. Police are on the streets to help make sure assholes like this cant hurt anyone else but themselves for their own stupidity.. and thats what he did.

SO... + 1 for the officer for stopping him, + 1 for not getting himself or anyone else hurt besides the jackass on the bike, and + 1 for this guy getting the book thrown at him for his ass clown stunt to avoid a speeding ticket.
dumbass cop logic...

there are times its necessary and other times its not. in this situation it was uncalled for, it was only a speeding ticket. now if he would have robbed someone or commited some sort of felony then i would understand, but it was FOR SPEEDING!

shit, you would prolly run a 10 year old kid over on a bicycle for trying to run from you...wouldnt you?

and his leg could have been crushed and he could have bleed out in less time than 12mins... but guess what, that would have just served him right too.

Fleeing to elude would be a felony street attorney.... Felony of the 3rd deg, with the possibitilty of going to 2nd deg. If your thinking about going against me on what a law is... know what your talking about first!

Now, if you were not trying to be a smartass.... and were just mistaken, then there is the correct answer so you know now.

No bad tastes here.

wrong... I said.... If you ride a bike because you want to have the advantage of making an attempt to get away easier on your part... then you need to accept the consequences of the more dangerous crash in the end.

I didnt see him crash anyone. I saw him set up a road block and the motorcyclist ran into him. Crashing him would be a PIT maneuver. Granted I guess you could take the side that had the cop not been there, the biker would have never crashed.

i know what i am talking about because i was arrested for it a couple years ago while i was in my car and it was a misdemeanor...

and if it was a felony to some extent the cause still does not justify what the cop did.

its one guy on 2 wheels that was speeding. the cops chasing him for a speeding violation also endangered other peoples lives. a cop, with the right mind set (protecting the public 1st) would have let him go.

let him go? Why.. so he knows all he has to do if he wants to cruise around town recklessly is punch it when a cop tries to stop him for BREAKING THE LAW? Country would go to hell real quick if that starts happening. If he would have died.. although I agree that it would be horrible... it still wouldnt change anything. He set up a road block for a now "criminal" on a felony charge, and said criminal hit the roadblock. It sounds shitty but thats the basic fact of it.

Dont get me wrong.. i'm not saying that i'm glad the kid wrecked or anything... i'm just arguing a point that the ofc. did nothing wrong that I see. Was it "mean"? probably... was it justified and lawful... YES.

again.. no bad blood between us here... just answering and debating.
