Gonna have to disagree with you there. Eurupeans don't know about electronics. Thats one of the downfalls in their vehicles.

So, Japanese or not, new tires on my bike makes it ride like a new bike. It's sooooooo nice. I just gotta adjust the spacing in the front brake rotor and I'm golden.

aint that the truth... when it comes to mechanical bits cant touch the europeans. Try wiring ANYTHING and expect failure.

In regards to tire choice... its a cruiser. Anything new will feel good on a cruiser, hes not leaning in corners or taking turns faster than 80 anyway.

I wouldn't let a "Made in U.S.A." badge be my major factor in buying one product if I like another. I'm not saying Dunlops are good or bad, but it's sad when your major deciding factor is whether or not they're made in the U.S. I would buy Michelin's even if they were made in Mexico, cause I know Michelin's are da ish no matter where they are made (except F1 tyres, hahahahahahahahaha ). Not like you look to see if your underwear were U.S.-made or not (or maybe you do, haha), you just know that your FOTL's hold up, so you keep buying them, even if they are China-made.

Quite frankly, the only reason U.S. stuff holds together half the time is because we overbuild everything, so it makes up for our loss in efficiency and carefully designing a product. There's a reason companies like Toyota and Sony are at the top of there markets.....they engineer better products. Instead of being lazy, most Europian and Asian companies are models of efficiency and reasearch-driven technology. They'll stay until after 5pm if that's what it take, where we would rather leave at 4:30pm. It's not like I'm proud to say it, but that's just how it is. That's not to say that overseas stuff is always better, i.e.-China's mass-production, etc. But I know that I'd rather buy a Honda-engineered car made on U.S. soil than a Chevy-engineered car made on Japanese-soil. And I wouldn't let a Dunlop-engineered tire with a "Made in Japan" badge deter me from buying it.

There's still no substitute for the good ol' American-made cheeseburger, though. Haha!

Man, the responses I've gotten to this topic on almost every forum sadden me. It's almost like nobody has any patriotism or pride in American craftsmanship anymore. If Japan is the holy grail of all products, it's a wonder why more Americans don't move there. I mean, you all might as well, that's where all of your money is going.

i think as was said above.... I'd rather buy something designed in japan and built here...

our workers are great and skilled but we just build over done, heavy ass junk overall... from a design stand point, most of our biggier is better crap makes me sick.

but even with that said i will always be a chevy guy and can't bring myself to spend my money on a import car. even thou from years of working on both, i like the way they build things. but as long as gas stays cheap here I'll be buying a V8 with push rods.

$3 gal. is pushing it thou.... if i didn't already have a car I'm happy with i may just look into a turbo 4.... and it seems only the japs will build a 4cyl turbo RWD.... and i don't know how to drive a FWD car! haha

I'm not happy about it at all but we pretty much build and sell junk in the eyes of the rest of the world and even most of our own people are smart enough to see it. doesn't mean for a sec that we like it.
