I've had 3 tickets in the last 5 years.....


and all but one is bullshit that i and everyone does everyday. just found cops on bad days or something. i mean damn, who hasn't merged onto an interstate at 78mph? not really worth a few hundred dollars to me..


shit even the one me and my passenger when to jail for wasn't me but the cars in front of me. i just didn't have any grounds to fight it on. wrong place at the wrong time but still wasn't me. just our word vs. the cops=i lose

 

(2) Fifteen convictions for moving traffic offenses for which points may be assessed as set forth in s. 322.27, including those offenses in subsection (1).

Any violation of any federal law, any law of another state or country, or any valid ordinance of a municipality or county of another state similar to a statutory prohibition specified in subsection (1) or subsection (2) shall be counted as a violation of such prohibition. In computing the number of convictions, all convictions during the 5 years previous to July 1, 1972, will be used, provided at least one conviction occurs after that date. The fact that previous convictions may have resulted in suspension, revocation, or disqualification under another section does not exempt them from being used for suspension or revocation under this section as a habitual offender.


well i am reading this quote and it reads to me that only tickets where points can be assesed. so if i am reading it correctly my withhelds and nonpoint assest tickets don't count towards it.

 

yeah that's kinda how i think it should be but someone asked that question about withhelds and they said they count everything except parking tickets. now these clowns that do the classes don't really know shit. its just a job for them but worth checking into becuase 15 points tickets in 5 years i think you'd have lost the right to drive wayyyyyy before that many.

 

not true. i am currently sitting at 18 points till sept 7th then a 3 pointer falls off. unless you are meaning 15 tickets that were for points.

 

I've taken 3 of those 12 hour classes and each teacher said after 15 points you are a habitual traffic offender.

never had to go to any of those 12 hour deals. i have taken the 4 hour class 6 times now and i still have one time left that i can elect to take the 4 hour class. 2 of them were court appointed which do not count against your 5 in a life time. i have gotten the you are in danger of losing you liscence letter like 4 different times.

 

yea i got a ticket last nite for improper lane change 3 points and 120.50
