Hey Cecil, you weren't near Quaker Stake tonight were you? I was talking to a vendor there, and he was talking about this badass red hayabusa. Sounded like you. Said the guy bought stuff from him.
That was me... you must have been talking to Ryan from Pure Accelleration.
He hooked me up with a chain and set of sprockets.

Yeah! I got their card. I'm looking forward to doing business with them. Ryan seems like a good guy. And he's close to my house!

Damn! I had just missed you. He said the guy had just left to go to Sunshine. I knew it had to be you.

I think EVERYONE was out tonight.

well!!!!!!!!!!!! found out what was going wrong at the track.

I KILLED MY NEW CLUTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i was riding home. i again waited until i got to the bridge and started to role into the throttle. too my surprise. rpm's skyrocketed yet i went no where. i wondered about the clutch before i even started racing. i even said something to bobster about it. ohh well. i guess i am going to buy racing friction plates this time only. no need to replace the steel plates again. ohh i do wonder about the springs that came with the kit. maybe they aren't strong enough.

wonder what the strength difference of the barnet springs are in comparison to the honda stock springs. anyone know?

I didn't set it up just asked. Cool meeting you guys, was nice to put some faces with the people on here. Didn't have much time to chit chat, piece of junk wouldn't run right. I didn't help any either blew both burnouts, didn't turn on the fuel pump and wrond gear the second time, gues I am rusty after not being out for 18 months. Oh well there is next time. I need to get some parts before the next one. Hopefully on the 13th for me and then the TR on the 30th.

It is the steel plates that you eat up drag racing, I have a stack of them that are purple to black in color. The heat is what kills them. I have always had good luck with the stock plates.

see i thought it was the friction plates. they didn't seem like they were great quality when i put them on. it seemed kinda like a felt to me. my honda stock steel plates were burnt from the original clutch, but the stock friction plates looked even worse. can you just wire wheel the steel plates and buy new friction plates? after all isn't it the friction plates that are suppost to wear?

You can clean them up a little, but the problem is that they get warped. Different springs could help, some people also run spacers under the stock springs. If you are going to drag race plan on buying clucthes, it is part of the game. Was your mph better with the new clutch?
