Man you guys wouldn't believe this... I rode out to QS&L tonight then cruised to ybor. Welllll to make a long story short - probably 50 cops, about 20 cruisers, 2 horses, a helicopter, and a few lieutenants / captains / whatever.....

I got there shortly after they blocked everyone in at the lot across from Green Iguana, so they were eyeing me as I rode by. Parked down by the cigar shop and walked back down. Apparently they were ticketing people for every little thing they could find, running VINs, and telling everyone they couldn't leave until they were done.

Hell as I pulled away (parked 2 blocks away) I pulled 20 feet up to a light and got pulled over because I didn't put my visor down fast enough. No ticket, but they were harassing me about endorsement, etc.....

This was ridiculous - obviously they had some higher ups there so this was organized ahead of time, but I really know what could possibly justify giving everyone such a hard time. Hell we al know there were probably 30 drunks that drove away from Ybor while this was all happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, me and some buddies rode up there but luckily one of my boys was going to a club and called us as we got off i-4 and parked at the bk and gave us the low down so we drove down another road and could see all the po po's down the side streets and i hear several riders were arrested. none of us were illegal but it would have been a hassel to get pulled over and have to go thru all the crap so we headed home.

 

I plan on avoiding ybor once I get my bike..

 

stupid question. is it a law that you have to put your visor up at a light??? never saw that rule anywhere.
