I can see that. My plate acts like a mudflap right now, but at least it's sitting on a little chrome mount instead of the HUGE mount that comes stock.

Think about it... If you don't wear a helmet you are only going to hurt yourself... Without eye protection something could fly in your eye thus imparing your ability to ride and endangering others...

Is there a reason for it besides hiding the plate? Do they dig into the tire during a wheelstand or something if you leave 'em stock?
i just wanted to clean up the "mudflap" fender, and i've been too lazy to install a white light for the plate. i have really bright blinkers and the plate is mounted so you can see the entire thing.

think i'll get to it this weekend though... i was probably pretty lucky i didn't get pulled.

sl2racer- it would've been very interestign to see if they were writing tickets for people that were parked in the lot. as long as you're not operating it, and it's not on a public road, they can't write you a ticket for illegal equipment. i'm sure they did anyway, thinking most won't fight it though. it would just be a nice long wait until the cops left

not me. if i wasn't operating it. then give my bike a parking ticket. because anything else i will haul your ass into court without a hesitation.

secondly. i too have just no gotten around to putting a light buy the plate. but then again my plate is bent in half. sorta on purpose and sorta not.

I mean, not for nothin' guys, but if your plates are illegally mounted and you get tickets for it, can ya really complain? It sounds like a totally dick setup by the cops, I agree, but a ticket is a ticket. You gotta get busted for it sooner or later

no, i totally agree with you. had i gotten a ticket for no light last night, i would've just paid it without complaining (the plate is mounted legally though).

but you're right about the setup. it's much more dangerous to ride with my visor down at 5-10 mph. gets so foggy, you can't even see. i don't think something going to lodge itself in my eye at that speed and cause me to crash into a crowd of people.

Mine WAS not illegal, but yeah the tag hits the rear tire when getting about 3 ft of air. Ask Ashlee and Brandon about that one! haha. So now its illegal cause i bent it at a 90 degree angle just under the date sticker. Why? Cause I dont want my tag number on some cops video camera for those times when im going 100 in a 45 zone and dont feel like going to jail.

this is why i said mine is sorta bent on accident and purpose. it is zipped tied right above my wheel and when i get anyone on the back the tire hits it and bent it. i just never bent it back for that reason.
