I think I may be just a little offended to have someone actually thinking that my bike and a Kan-a-tuna are in some way similar

Do you people think that you're better than someone with a Katana? I'm on my very first bike, what you may call an old, piece of shit Kan-a-tuna. Well, I have no illusions about it, i know it's slow when compared to other bikes, and it definitely doesn't look as good as the newer supersports, yet i love it. I too want to get a Gixxer, yet my budget has yet to allow it.
Some of you people also don't realize that the Katana and Gixxer are worlds apart, and beyond comparable. Katana's are a hell of a lot more comfortable than any supersport i've been on, and that's because it is more of a sport-tourer, not a supersport, and i have no illusions about this.
The katana is meant to be accessible to the people who either can't afford to get a gixxer, or who are afraid of, or don't have enough expierience to get the racier, and much faster bikes. I myself am proud of my decision to buy my Katana. I have learned so much on it, and now feel that i can handle any bike on earth. I went from knowing almost nothing about bikes, to becoming highly active in the culture.
For those of you who can only say negative things about the Katana, I feel higher than you, for i truly appreciate all motorcycles, whether it be a scooter, moped, cruiser, tourer, or our beloved sportbikes. They all have the same purpose: to get people of all walks of life to expierience the joys of riding on two wheels. If you can't realize this, and appreciate all bikes, even if you don't like them, then maybe you shouldn't be riding, for you don't know the true meaning of it.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be touchy. I could care less what people say about it. I myself wouldn't buy another; I'm ready for a supersport. Yet I still believe the Katana is better for starters than a Gixxer, to answer the original post.

I'll out ride all you MoFo's on a Katana! LOL

I think the Katana is a good bike. Especially for a starter bike, or a sport touring bike. I've ridden a track preped Katana as well, and that thing handled very well.

Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?

i wasn't making fun of the kitana, i was making fun of leslie's statement that a kitana looks better than a gixxer. i don't look down on any rider's bike (unless they've done stupid shit to it). sorry if it came off that way.

sorry, I don't like ugly bikes. gixxers dont come in any good looking color schemes, I dislike the overall look of the bike, and they are the trendy bandwagon bike. so shoot me for my opinion. I'll take a katana over a gixxer anytime.
