-- Just bought a '97 Ducati Monster 900
To all the haters, just ride one and feel how nice it is to be the one non-jap bike or harley out cruizing, I like the fact the bike is unique in looks / style and has some quirks.
If i wanted to be like everyone else I'd drive a Civic and yell V-Tec all day with a pink shirt on...

ducati's are overrated and over priced IMO... something about a 22 thousand dollar bike that needs constant tuning and doesn't perform with its class is pathetic.. but hey if u wanna look like another rich tool.. go for it.. personally.. I like the reliability of certain Jap companies and the nice price tag on them as well..

not a wise choice to put a high end motor cycle dealership by a bunch of broke ass collegiates barely making by with dorm payments.
ducatis are well worth it. Only reason they cost so much is because most high performance mods are already done and are covered by warranty. Name another jap bike that has an ohlins shock stock, has won as many superbike championships or is as nice.
Ducatis are akin to ferraris. Beautiful, fast and quirky. A Jap bike is a dime a dozen, almost stamped out. You will not see more than a handful of
exotic bikes in a day or even a week but the squids cruising on their stolen gixxers are countless.
If I had the money I would put 22k toward a ducati.
BTW check the prices. You can walk out with a 749 for 14k. BMWs are the most expensive factory, then come the high end superbike replicas.
