ducati's are sick bikes when it comes to speed for their cc class, and they have always been known to have great balance in the corner. BUT just like clint said they need valve adjustments so often its ridiculous, the oil changed every 2,000, they are very costly to get serviced, and i bet the ducati dealership is not cheap! the ninja 636 is a badass bike for a 600, prolly the fastest 600 i've ever ridden, good low acceleration, good top end, balance point for cat-walks is only about 10:45. Just one thing, ninja's are notorious for having twitchy steering, easy to get into a tank slap, spend the $290 and get a steering dampner

get the 636. last i saw the duc 748 went for around $14K? i could be blowing smoke out my ass so definitely check first. in one of my mags, they say the duc is nice, but it just doesn't have the rawness to compare with other 750s. and here's an article on the 636 (and the 6rr)

What's up keith...my boy jason has a 748, and as everyone has said the valves need constant adj....not to say it is hard in the least, just that I have done it twice for him in the past six months (needed each time) and replacement parts are expensive....but...it is a Ducati after all (kind of like complaining cause your mercedes parts are too much...ya know), and it will get more ass and attention...so weigh your options...

the 636 is a good all around bike, but for the same $ I personally would go with the ducati...it is a great deal less common, and dude I know you...and you are like me when it comes to toys and having the best is nice...even at a great cost

if you dont mind doing alot of maintenance, and you have the mechanical aptitude to do it yourself, I'd say go for it, it would compliment the 7 nicely...

but if you are the type to take it to the dealer for maint. then you will get raped.
