falkens all the way around, if you cant afford R compounds they are the best street tire available. the nittos would either make too much over steer or if they are stickier (dont know much about the II's) then you will have plow issues.

i could always run 275's all the way round ?
i want to avoid having alkens on the back for daily driving.. too skinny and wont hook up... specially not after driving a little.

Oh.....i wouldnt worry about having 2 different "types" of tires front to rear. It'll definately be fine on the street, which is where you do most of your driving anyway.

Leonard.. your the only person i can find who says that 275 DR's are not a good idea on 17x8 wheels.. so ..i think your on your own
i think i'll run 245 Falkens up front and the 555R II's at the back for a little more contact patch..
getting 15x8 American Racing Wheels with 275/50/17 BFGs for the drag strip... and going to run the 555R's on the street and autox as i wont drag race very often..
leonard..i do appreciate your advice though..its just not what i have heard from most people..
you can feel free to tell me i told you so if i screw something up running 275s
