holy crap. what a blast weekend. TAJ i`ll work on getting the team to send over their parts of the $50. you guys did great. good job, the #00 team also. I was the first driver on saturday and just really let it get to me, i started being way to too competative and trying to pass the caddie on turn one on the outside and going in way to hot, = 4 wheels off. can`t wait for next time. clutch, toyota 4x4 brakes and maybe a turbo motor! just need a little extra speed in the straights, brake deeper in the corners and a clutch that will, well, last the race.

I've got a line on a ride with another BMW 325 team at the Detroit race!

 

That didn't take long... Good work! Running the numbers and the shortage on time for me these next two or so months that may be the best route to take. Pay your entry and chip in for gas / tires and then as long as the team splits up equal seat time then thats the way to go!

They offered a $500 buy-in, which includes my entry fee... you can't beat that. And Detroit is a straight 24-hour race, so there's 4 hours available per driver. We'll be some beat-down mo-fos!

 

i`m jealous, the 2-ish hours of seat time just wasn`t enough for me.

 

I could have done more, but for a first-time racing experience, I was satisfied.

 

everytime they called an said it was time to change drivers i was like "man, i just got out here" sunday we did 1 hour stints. in hindsight, 30 min driver stints on saturday was dumbass, just extra time off the track. i was supplying plenty of off track time (seriously, how can you black flag me when you throw a yellow flag AS i`m passing someone? what kind of crap is that? at least an oatmeal cream pie and vianna sausages and i was back on the track.


btw, kris, I owe you some Dew-skis.

 

Yeah, I think we all learned a little bit about how to manage an endurance race. Good stuff.

BTW, I have had offers from THREE teams for LeMons Detroit now. Didn't think I'd have such a decision to make!
