Loren, actually it was a school at Road Atlanta. Anyway. I agree about the instructor in the car.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

You'll likely be pleasantly surprised at how much easier track miles are on tires compared to autocross, especially on a lightweight "momentum car".

Where you might see 100 autocross runs on a set of tires... what's that, maybe an hour and a half total? You'll easily get 8-12 hours of track time on the same set of tires.

As an example, when I did One Lap this year, my car saw 4,000 street miles and about 30 minutes of track time each day for 8 days... a total of 4 hours of track time. At the end of that, the front tires were about 50% worn, and the rears showed no significant wear at all. So, with proper rotation, those tires would have been good for up to 16 hours of pure track time!

It not just the Lemons race, its getting home at 3 am mon. Then having to be on a plane that afternoon. Working in Chicago all week. then coming home to all the lemons stuff sitting where I dumped it that monday..
Then It would be trying to get another car ready for this event.

I really would like to go. but with doing Sebring at $250 next week for tests. then the Lemons race, $600 in fuel for the weekend. The hotel. Food.
We still dont have our second set of tires.$$ are you ordering the Hankooks?
then coming home with no rest in between. Im not sure it can be done.. Like I said If it were a week later, Id be there.

Sorry to hear about the employment news. RE I thought it had changed.

We do still need to get the tires.. I can order another set of azelas? Or if you have a way to order the Hankooks we can go that route . RE getting the team to cover them. Just let me know.

If you want I can send you down to the Wharehouse and pick up an order (they are right off 60) but there are no 14" Hankook's in stock. (only 15")

15's sure, in a lot of options...

I have Race tires and even slicks mounted I can GIVE the team but I doubt we will be allowed to run them

unless you want to try THESE which are availble in 14"

But I keep running into the Same Problem, No-one is willing to stock 14" performance Tires for Me and I understand I can't imagine I'd sell but 1-2 sets a year.
