So Grit got that car running? were doing the seat and reinforcing the bumpers this weekend.. getting all the interior stuff done..

Then next week its fixing the driveshaft and putting in the LSD..

After that its Paint and were a Go...

Wanna try for a Gainesville test again mid June or something?? Or does anyone have any suggestions on where we can run for a little without attracting too many blue lights?

we are putting on a BMW auto X in Brooksville in early July. You can come out and run the event for $25.. Or if you want to come out Sat the day before when we are setting up you can do some testing then..

Also we are planning on heading UP there Thurs night after work. arriving Fri am.. It looks like it will be a 9 hour drive. we will be towing 2 cars witha dually and have a car following..

We also have rooms rented at the Ramada Limited in Lugoff, SC. $69/room/night

its acutally really cheap to rent desoto speedway during the week. I know some of the drifters were going to do it, it was only a few hundred bucks for a couple of hours to yourself

well first goal is to get the heap running and caged. but yeah, we would be interested in some practice. those hotels are pretty cheap, that might be the ticket. we might have a place to stay with one of the guys from z31performance.com, however if he turns out to be too far away, $69 for a hotel aint bad.

I called Desoto, and they are a Pain in the ass. sure they will give you access for testing by the car. (charge per car) however they do not allow any competition or wheel to wheel on their track. and I'll be honest for a glorified autocross you can do it for a lot less money. Plus the guy who runs the office there is a complete dick. and I don't deal with people that think they are the only game in town.

you need 10 cars and then a lot of diffrent places make sense.

I think you just have to get the owner on a good day cause he does let the drifters do tandem if you have a cage and you are known to be a good driver. But I have a few friends down in SFL that say the same of pretty much every track owner they've talked too about putting on the events in this state, they have a track you have to bow to them.

Guess I am spoiled I dont want to drive an Oval. I want a road course. With Sebring and the new track, plus Moroso being done in a bit there are plenty of other places to go. I want to be able to turn both left and right..
