Depends on what you're driving. A WRX is made for off-road driving. A 240SX isn't. If you have stock suspension, you'll probably be okay. If you're lowered and stiff... well...

So what's the course layout like? I'm assuming that at least part of it is on the track, but what about the rest? Do you guys use the infield? The dirt parking lots? I don't care much for rally computers and sandy courses through pine forests, but this sounds like a lot of fun. Speaking of which, does FAST have any events planned at the Primus facility? I participated in the Battle-X event a year or two ago (when it was Sunriders) and it was a great format and a lot of fun.

Rally-X Eastbay Raceway 9-30-2007 photos from the last one. It was part of the oval and some of the infield

John just sold Primus and from what I've heard the new owners are going to keep it as a kart only facility.

we can't make this event... we'll be on a cruise until the morning of the 22nd, and it goes from Ft. Lauderdale. What time does the event start? I suppose we might be able to get back if it starts at 10 or 11 like the road rally did.

We'll just haul ass home and go straight from the cruise to the track. :] The fun never has to stop you know, hah.

Stock suspension, lots of ground clearance. I see the Miata, a Del Sol, the Spec V, several other cars in those pics that should have similar or lower ground clearance and suspension travel. My two worries are running off course and hitting something or banging up the suspension on a rough surface, but the track seems open and smooth enough in those pics, and it should be smoother this time around. It looks like a lot of fun- I'm going to think about it for a day or two then probably sign up.
