NASA-X -- Battle-X 2006!
Get ready, it's coming. We've decided to call it Battle-X 2006. What is it? It's a "Mirror Khana" style autocross. What does that mean? It means no clocks! Just you and your opponent on an autocross course. One of you will win. One of you will lose.
Course map and supplemental event rules (pdf) are available. Pre-registration for members is open now, will open for non-members if slots are still available after mid-December. Entry fee will be $35 for NASA members, $45 for non-members. (this would be a good time for you to become a member) Pre-registration with payment will be REQUIRED for this event and the entry limit will be 64 cars. Current entry list can be found here.
Much discussion and many questions answered here in the NASA-X Florida forum.
Hope to see some of you there!

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

looks awesome. hopefully i'll be able to make it.
pardon my ignorance but where is the car classification info?

There's a link to classing info on the front page of our website NASAXFlorida.com.

It won't change my class, so it's ultimately not that big of a deal, but the swaybar rule says 3 points for adding or deleting aswaybar. Shall I assume that replacing one triggers that penalty?

On the other hand, I suppose that chronologically, I first deleted the stock bar, then added an aftermarket swaybar, which if we apply the rule twice would get me 6 points. As I mentioned before, it doesn't affect my classing so I'm not too terribly concerned.
