I don't get you mattback... sometime's you're all on the let's do this shit right and earn a decent reputation for drifting as a motorsport... and then you shit a big log like this out of your mouth.... What's the deal?

Even if you had them pay for the grass, the grass is still torn up, and will take time to regrow. Then the dirt is exposed on the edges of the pavement and the next time it rains (and in FL when it rains is pours) the dirt will wash out from under the edges and the pavement will not be supported anymore. So yes, you can put the grass back, but over time, the ground under the edges of the pavement will be washed out. This is the most important part of the pavement, especially for those people who drift and spin tires right on the edge, this will tear things up further.
This problem could be solved by placing conctrete footers around the pavement, but this track was not designed for drifting, so we will just have to go by their rules.
Now if you come out and get it sideways in a couple corners but have it under control, they are not going to care, but if you try and drift every corner, they are gonna say something. That and when you spin, grass and dirt will get thrown onto the track which makes it suck for people who are trying to grip.
Enough said.

i'll just stick to my 20 foot wide go kart track that is 2x as tight and wont worry about going in the grass because i dont'

I also went off at GIR on Saturday during the martin event in Bob's miata and took some grass with me and No one said a word to me. Apparently a more aggressive rear pad and a Very un aggressive front pad lead to rear brake lock up when the fronts fade. From a 100mph thats a wee bit scary!!! And resulted in some hardcore grass excitement.
