Why not do a bandpass if you have a cut-thru?
That box is most likely twice the size it needs to be. The bigger the better really isnt the theory to follow in car audio.

i did and the box is 4.4 cubic foot almost the max for a ported / vented box

I think you got lucky and actually got close to what they recommend for these subs.
Max Recommended Vented Box Per Sub is 2.25.
Though I'm sure they would recommend seperate enclosures.

Each sub should have its own box and port is what hes saying. Hopefully you have 1amp for both of them or its gonna be even more of a battle between those subs.

I know these subs are cheap and all but I think doing the math and cutting a few more pieces of wood to have two sep. enclosures would at least save you from replacing two subs when one blows and then destroys the other one.

hes running a legacy ice 2000 watt im trying to talk him into a better amp but he dont have the money right now.. hes had the kicker for about a year and they just sat in his room in there box's till i kept bugging him to build a box for them
