Been following the install-very clean. Congrats-I'd say you just surpassed 90% of the shops in Tampa as far as cleanliness of install (I'll keep this in mind next time I am hiring for the installer position again).

Anyway, only thing I would do (since you have good trim skills), is to add the fake cover over the top of the amp/sub box so that just the top of the amp pokes out-covers all wiring. Also makes a great place to add intake/exhaust fans to cool the amp. And if you want people to see the batteries, but not stick out like a sore thumb, lid the boxes in smoked plexi (or sometimes we just tint a small peice of clear with 30% to save time). You could even add a small tube lamp inside each lid low in the box to give a glow effect. Other than those two additions, don't see much I would have done differently. Unfortunately however, it still is a Caddy and you will still be fighting the trunk divider/shelf dampning. I think with your skills you could have easily ported through the rear deck. That alone is probably worth a few db in the cabin area.

Nice work again though....

Thanks for the input ... may do a lil cover for that top amp.. gotta wait and see what tools I get for xmas . Actually my old set up was ported thru the rear deck, the hole is cut out so that helps a bit. Actually putting the port into the rear deck was more work than I cared to do on this car.. didn't feel like completley sealing off the trunk. Do you have any pics of what you meant with the batteries?

I don't have any on our myspace page currently or in our photobucket archives (just checked) so let me see what I can dig up in my shop server tomorrow. I am sure I have pics of one somewhere. It is really simple though. Just essentially cut out a piece of smoked plexi (or clear and just tint it as stated) that fits snugly just INTO the top of the battery box-if you fit it snugly enough, you really don't even have to hinge or mount it. However you can mount small peices of 1/4 round trim (paint them black) upside-down just below the top of the box and inside to rest the plexi into. I do need to find a pic though-it is really simple and really clean. Almost takes longer to explain than to execute.
