ya the whine does change due to revving and i have a ground that i used for my old amp.

i unhooked the 4ch so only the 2ch is hooked up and bridged to the sub but it is still makin the engine whine so i dk because i am using the same wires i used in my old setup only thing that changed is the amp and sub but my old setup wasnt as strong as this and my old subs were in a bandpass box where this one is in a sealed.

it could just be the amp is more sensitive and is pickign up noise the other amp couldnt - try lowering the gain and turning up the volume to compensate.

ya so i unplugged the rca and that stopped the whine so that would mean that something with my deck isnt working right? i used a voltmeter to check the ground in the stereo and it said it was fine?

A voltmeter cant check the ground - but if the noise stopped when you unplugged the RCAs you have already isolated the problem to either the headunit or the RCA cables themselves.

First, buy a new set of good quality RCAs. Run it on the opposite side of the car of the power cable and do not run parallel to the ground/power cable for more than 6 inches before it meets the amp.

one word --------------------------------- ground!

reground amp - upgrade ground on battery - check grounds on engine to frame, run new ground for head unit - double check the ground on the antenna - anything to do with ground check it - upgrade it .....
