Actually it was a compustar, they didn't unwire it they just stole the brain which means the people that broke in my truck knew where it was, which means they worked on it before. neighbors said my alarm was going off for like 3 min. No one even bothered looking out there window at my truck which sucks

tell me, was it Pyle brand?
It's really not all that hard to get past an alarm. I use to see it quite often actually. The most effective way of preventing theft I've found, by far, is a stealthy install. If they can't see it, can't get to it, and/or don't know it's there they're most likely not going to attempt to break in in the first place.

thats is why i always suggest a pager or 2 way remote to tell you when your alarm is going off - and horn honk is a must - really hard to sleep with a horn going off non-stop

Oh noes, I just installed a compustar 2way system in Dans car

Let us pray that he hears the alarm going off and brings his baseball bat to yield before they figure out how to pull the alarm.

Yes yes Ive always found it extremely satisfying to use several roles of masing tape as well. Not only is future maitenence near impossible, I doubt even I would recognize the wiring. I also dont prewrap any of the wires (besides the siren) so then when I install it I can bundle door locks with the ignition or whatever wires happen to be near eachother easier.

yeh i have that one except no remote start, i dont really need it. Although window roll down would be really nice...

The range is actually pretty decent. I went about ... hm 1/8th of a mile i guess away from a walmart dalton was in and behind an amscot, he was inside and i think up to the vegetable isle in the super walmart and i think thats the range it died at.

Not too bad.

I cant sleep through anything, i barely sleep at all. Plus i have it on vibrate, attached to me about 20/7 and if not stuck to me its really fkn close to me.

=D.
