go turbo or ls/vtec
im not sure if i should go turbo or ls/vtec on my 90 acura integra le i have the block for the ls/vtec swap just need to find the dohc vtec head.... dunno which is better.....
a turbo will make way more power then just the swap. you should do the ls swap and turbo that. ls motors produce good TQ numbers when boosted. this one guy on TR has a turbo charged 94 ls teg and he just had it dynoed a few months ago and produced some nice numbers. i think his user name is 94lsteg or something.

frankly, I think vtec is overrated, sure its neat...but just a set of big cams in a non vtec DOHC is just as good...sure you geta rougher idle, but so what?just turn up the idle a bit, boost is where its at in any 4 cylinder, most 6 cylinders, and always fun on an 8
