Cocky swapped civic driver goes down.....
Dino, its simply inaccurate to compare a bike motor to a car motor.
your bike, while making incredible power for a .9 liter machine rev's past 12k and has very little torque. a daily driven car (which is heavier and needs torque) simply wouldn't be useful with that type of setup.
and american pushrod v8's are old. the techniques used to make the heads and bottom ends are based upon 60's technology. and if i'm not mistaken these motors are not aluminum...at least the majority of them at least...which makes the older v8 motors extremely heavy.
however, as Corey knows i'm a big fan of american v8's and my dad has owned many of them over the years.

hey, i may not make it to track day...but we can definitely race on a sunday morning test and tune.
i'd be happy to just stay within a car length of your camaro...as it went 13.0's and i don't think i'll ever run that without making more changes...

Practical goes out the window when you start optimizing certain aspects such as handling or acceleration, you always give up practicality, besides, you just said comparing them was ludicrous, which in fact it is not, stop trying to pigeonhole the criteria to make you look 100 percent correct.
Facts..
(1)Stock honda cars are slow..all of them
(2)They, like anything can be made faster, allbeit not as efficiently as most sports cars.
(3) When questioned, honda drivers will usually revert to arguments of Power to weight or Hp/Litre to at least look like they have an Ace in the hole.
*disclaimer*..I have seen quite a few nice Honda setups, ones that any sane person would be proud to drive and own, but they were usually not done for very cheap, The two that come to mind are Gregs Hatch and Johns Silver car.
