I bet that Kenne Bell motor is well above 10 psi. The 427ci is probably around 4 to 6psi and making 625rwhp..

Aharon... do you know Jimmy Lowry from Gainesville? He's got a blue '03 and can definitely defeat some modded Supras (450-550hp varieties) He'll always race if you are in the area, come out one Thursday night to Gainesville... actually, if a few of you can manage to come down we'll show you some good places. The Sup-Dawgs hea in Gville will run full top end, we got some world class DSMs here too (as in high 11's) and various other cars stop in to see our wares. Just drop me a line one day.

Oh and I drive a slow DSM.

The bottom line is that the more the car companies push the envelope on HP, the better off we all are. Viper, BMW, Cobra, Benz, etc., have all put pressure on GM. So for us Corvette guys, that is great. Here is a comment from GMInsideNews.com regarding the C6:

"...the standard C6 is expected to weight anywhere from 300-500lbs lighter than the current C5, and that goes for the new Z06 variant.

The high performance version of the C6 (possibly still named Z06) will be powered by a new generation of cam-less engine. That’s right, electronically actuated valves. Not only will this give the HP version of the C6 infinite valve timing, but close-to, if not north-of 500hp."

You gotta the HP wars!!! Unfortunately, after having lived through the muscle car era of the 60's, all I can say is that it will probably not last forever.
