First i ran into an older Vette on North DM. I dont know anything about those cars but by friend who was riding with a video camera said it was around a 78 or so. The guy was was driving looked over and got that look in his eyes of "stupid little 4 cylinders" and then laughed. I hear him downshift and gun it so i slam it down to 3rd. He jumps about a car on me immediately but midway through 3rd i am dead even, at the top of 3rd he is about a car back.

On the way back from this race, i hear a V8 + blowoff valve a few cars back in the lane next to me. He pulls up to me and i notice its a black z28 as he blows off again. Im thinkin this could get real ugly, real quick. We slow to about 20, i downshift to 2nd and blip the gas so he knows im about to go. I floor it and so does he. At the top of 2nd he is a little ahead of me. Shift into third and just as i predicted it started to get ugly. He had a good 3 cars on me when we shut it down at the top of 3rd. That was one mean car. Turned off down the road and talked to the guy who turned out to be very cool. Said he was only running 4psi on a T-60 or T-66 turbo (forgot what he said). Very impressive

Hopefully i can get some video up, although the 2nd one was pretty out of focus, you can still get the basic idea

Damn your car must move pretty good if you can stay with a turboed z28, even at 4psi i would guess its putting down over 400hp depending on the year.

 

I was filming both runs from the passenger seat of the little FWD. I will get the videos on my computer tonight but I need a reliable host to put them on because my site won't handle the bandwidth without going down in a day or two. If anyone can host them, post here and I'll email them to you after I put them up tonight. The good vid of the Z28 is blurry because when Alex punched it and hit full boost I almost dropped the camera and it turned the Auto focus off. The vette was late 70's early 80's, kind of a copper color with dual flowmasters on it. Sounded pretty mean. The Z28 was bad as fuck. I thought it was supercharged because there was almost no spool time but the said it was a 60-1 turbo. I would like to meet up with the Turbo Z28 again to get some more footage of that sweet car.

that is a 1998 Z-28 with a turbo technologies 60-1 kit, and those come with a front mount cooler too!!, that car is fun...there is some old pics of it on my site form ovr 1 year ago when we where pulling the stock blown to hell engine out www.turbo-max.net

Hey Alex, nice kill mang. I kindda don't wanna ride your car now. Last time I rode your car when you had the 14B and Craig's car with the built 420A, my car seemed piss slow I guess I have to wait until me, you, and Kyle meet again, I really wanna see those vids. Oh yeah, the Galant counted as a kill , in my book.

Oh yeah, 93 FWD Talons with are slow, especially greens ones

 

I was in the Turbo ls1 camaro at the time. The turbo is a 60-1 and we had 4 people in the camaro. This thing is going to be a beast at the end of April when we do the fuel system and go for 8psi boost. It should be around the 600hp mark then. I can't wait to suprise some people when my buddy Mike comes back from the Marines with the camaro He will be at base in North FL but will be here for the weekends in late April. Watch out people the turbo ls1 is to be feared :o
